Yoga & Ayurveda for Health — Glandular Reset and Ayurvedic Dinner with Shabadrang
at The Heart Center For Awakening
Sunday August 2nd
4:00 - 7:00pm
Don’t miss the 3 day follow up series about Ayurveda and Glandular Health
Intro to Ayurveda & its relationship to yoga postures
Come understand why behind your health. We all know people who are ‘fire-re’ by nature, others who are ‘grounded’ and those who are ‘lost in the clouds’. This phrasing may seem silly, but there are deep truths under the surface. Come learn about doshas, how they impact your health and how postures, breath work, meditation, and relaxation impact them. This gathering is geared towards those who are new to ayurveda, and wish to ask questions and learn how this practice can help you live your best life. As well as those interested to learn how the postures impact the doshas. Never before have doshas been associated with postures like this.
This retreat includes:
Foundation of Ayurveda
Introduction to Doshas & their Gunas (Qualities)
Evaluation of digestive health
Postures and Breath practices that balance the doshas and support key glands in the endocrine system
Meditation and deep relaxation to calm the nervous system and reduce stress‑driven hormonal disruption
An introduction to Ayurveda and its relationship to the Hypothalamus - Pituitary Axes (HPA)
Ayurvedic Dinner: Kitchari with a side of steamed beats & carrots. Date Cake Dessert. Dinner is vegan, gluten free, nut free.
Led by Shabadrang Bandhana Kaur Khalsa, 200‑hr YTT in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Kundalini Yoga, and a Master’s student in Ayurveda & Integrative Medicine. Asha Kali 200 hr ytt teacher and Ayurvedic Student.
So many of us are living with quiet imbalances and don’t know why. Feeling tired all the time, fatigue that doesn’t quit, mood swings that feel out of nowhere, sleep that won’t regulate, digestion that’s unpredictable, cycles that feel off, or a sense that the body is working harder than it should. Most people never learn that these are all signs of dosha imbalance. That the endocrine system is deeply responsive to breath, movement, stress patterns, foods, and daily habits — and that it can be supported naturally.
This half‑day retreat is designed to provide you with information and tools to help reset the glandular system. Through discussion of ayurveda, doshas, dosha qualities, and the experience of postures, breath practices, meditation, and deep relaxation, we’ll work directly to balance the doshas which in turn brings balance to the glands that influence energy, metabolism, mood, and reproductive health. You’ll learn how the nervous system and the HPA axis shape hormonal balance, and how Ayurveda offers clear, practical tools to support long‑term health.
We’ll close with a grounding Ayurvedic dinner — kitchari with steamed beets and carrots, and a date‑cake dessert (vegan, gluten‑free, nut‑free) — to nourish digestion and stabilize the system.
If your body has been asking for balance, clarity, or a reset, this retreat offers a direct, accessible way to support your endocrine health from the inside out.
